Neurological Differences Support Dyslexia Subtypes
Parts of the right hemisphere of the brains of people with dyslexia have been shown to differ from those of normal readers. Researchers writing in the open access journal BMC Neuroscience used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to compare the two groups, and were able to associate the neurological differences found with different language difficulties within the dyslexic group.

With entries for the 2009 Wellness Run closing on Sunday 17 May, families and individuals wanting to take part in the popular fitness run are being urged to register now. The run, which will take place on Sunday 7 June at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, is raising money for Diabetes UK. To enter, simply visit the Wellness Run website and complete the application form. The Wellness Run offers a 5km or a 10km track as well as a host of family activities, from bouncy castles and penalty shoot-outs through to musical entertainment. Supporting Diabetes UK Now in its fourth year, the Wellness Run has this year chosen to support Diabetes UK with all money raised from the event being donated to the charity.
